one week.
it's been just over a week now with dechen in our lives. what a rush... the lack of sleep, poopy diapers, laughing, learning, and basically marvelling in this amazing being. i remember a long time ago someone told me that having a newborn around was like sitting by a bonfire... how you can just get mesmerized by the beauty and wonder of it all, time just passes by so easily... i definitly agree... here's a few glimpses from our first week at home.

Chris - I am writing from a small town a couple hours south of Chicago, IL. I have been browsing Woodstock's blogs... hoping to get some insight into the experience of teaching/living at this school. I understand you are currently teaching art... I am interested in the July 2010 art position. What can you tell me about the program, the school... everything!? Congratulations by the way on the birth of your little one... my wife and I had our 2nd on November 25. What a miracle. Look forward to speaking with you.

Awww, she is sooo cute. I love that 3rd picture down, she is already filled out so nicely, I love her little chin and cheeks, they are just perfect. I always find it so fascinating every time I watch new parents become completely enthralled by a new baby, just reading your blog entry reminds of how that is. Enjoy this time, it was always my absolute favorite.

O Dechen is so precious I can't wait to meet her. I am sure grandma and grandpa Guenther are overflowing with joy trying to spend time with her. Enjoy the precious moments.
