adjusting...

well, another week has passed. things are slowly starting to feel more normal, but from what we've been told, this two week "normal" time will drastically change when the kids start arriving in the next couple of days. so much for the quiet dorm and free time, but everyone seems pretty excited to get going.

chris had her birthday this last week, along with catherine, a fellow woodstocker. we had some people over and she was thoroughly spoiled... i don't know if she's had "happy birthday" sung to her this many times before

just below us here is the village where most of the local laundry gets done... it's pretty crazy to see huge sacks of laundry piled on little scooters flying down the hills. and we're not sure how things dry as it's usually raining, but we are getting used to damp clothes and sheets.

i was able to go exploring a bit this afternoon with some friends to a place called "flag hill". the rain let up again and we were treated to some amazing views. when the monsoons pass you can supposedly see the snow peaks of the high himalayas to the north... i can't wait. but it was a very cool place, and hopefully i'll be able to bring my boys up here camping soon!

Agghh...! Lucky, Lucky, Lucky... What a unique and lovely place to be...

I really enjoy this blogging you've got going here KC... (and Christina)... These photos are incredible and likely don't even really do justice to actually being there.

Not that i'm not lucky and blessed to be way up north here being completely eveloped in beauty (as well)... But I love the sounds of your adventures and work.

    That's all for now...

    Love you two.

Wow, who needs to travel when you have cousins all over the world. Keep the pictures and stories coming so that I can dream I am there, not stuck in my house with crazy boys who are yacking my ear off about Transformers and other fascinating info like that.
Really, I do enjoy them, just not certain conversation topics.
Hope you can dry up soon, how is the food treating you?

Maybe, I should say who I am in the last comment, but you can probably guess from what I said. It is your dear cousin Charla, I know you miss me horribly. Brain is not functioning well today.

You'd better check out my blog, Chris. You'll see what you missed out on while you were on the other side of the world. You could have gone out on the town with Bambi and Thumper...
